Mr Pinaray Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala, visited UAE from 17th Oct. to 20th Oct.

Kerala, the southern most state of India, faced one of its worst ever deluge caused by incessant rains that lashed the entire state leading to an unprecedented loss of life, property and infrastructure. Mr Pinaray Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala, visited UAE from 17th Oct. to 20th Oct. He had several meetings with the business community and other Organisations of UAE seeking support to make a Brand New Kerala. Our Managing director Mr. Sameer K Mohamed was also a part of these discussions and during one of these meetings he handed over the contributions from our staff and Management to the Chief Minister.

Our Chairman Mr. M V Kunhumohamed and foundation staff were always in the forefront in providing food items

When Kerala was engulfed by unprecedented floods, Thadagam Foundation, the CSR wing of Jaleel Holdings with Head Office in Trichur, wasted no time to be a part of the relief work. Our Chairman Mr. M V Kunhumohamed and foundation staff were always in the forefront in providing food items like rice, vegetables, oil, sugar etc and also sheets, pillows and floor mats to the inmates of more than twenty relief camps in nearby panchayats. The relief work continued till the last person returned to his home after the flood waters receded.

The April 2018 issue of Jaleel News Letter " INSIGHT" was released by Mrs. Manju Mathew by handing over a copy to Mr. Nishad Aboobakar from NFD on 29th April 2018. The News letter is a mixture of Articles, Photos, Achievements, Drawings, Poems & Stories by our staffs and their children.

Chairman's Academic Excellence Awards were distributed to Staffs' children

Who had passed their School/University public examinations in flying colors. The winners received Gold coins, trophies and Certificates from Managing Director Mr. Sameer K Mohamed and Executive director Mr. Abdul Gafoor K.Mohamed.

Jaleel Employee Long Service

Awards were distributed to those who had completed 20 years of service with the company in 2017. Currently there are 34 employees in the organization who have completed 20 or more years of service. The awards were given away by Managing Director Mr. Sameer K Mohamed and Executive director Mr. Abdul Gafoor K.Mohamed.

Jaleel Employee Excellence

Awards were distributed during the Annual Meet. Employees who were role models through consistent and high performance in their respective fields were selected for the award. The Award winners received trophies and certificates from the Chief Guest Mr Navas Meeran and Managing Director Mr. Sameer K Mohamed.

Jaleel Annual Meet,2018 was celebrated at Credence

Jaleel Annual Meet,2018 was celebrated at Credence High School, Al Quoz on April 20th, 2018. Mr .Navas Meeran, Chairman, Eastern Condiments (P) Ltd was the chief guest. Employee Excellence Awards, Employee Long Service Awards and Chairman's Academic Excellence Awards were given away in the function. Award function was followed by various cultural activities by Jaleel staff and an external event management team . A fellowship dinner was served to all those who attended the function.

Jaleel And Eastern Food Industries (JEFI) has been awarded 'A Grade'

With scores of 94.2% in the food safety audit conducted by RAK Municipality Food control Section. The food control is known as the process of controlling and inspecting of food and its products to ensure they meet the pre-defined standards. It also ensures the health of the workers as well as the consumers. The score asserts the commitment of Jaleel to maintain quality and safety of the food produced and supplied by the company.

Jaleel switches off to save planet Earth

Jaleel Holdings joined UAE and more than 180 countries across the world in marking the "Earth Hour 2018" movement by switching off all non-essential lights, a symbolic act of fighting global climate change. Jaleel Holdings has been joining the Earth Hour campaign annually since 2011, highlighting sustainable practices that positively support the biodiversity of our planet. Keeping solidarity with the movement all non-essential lights were switched off from 830pm to 930pm throughout Jaleel establishments in UAE on Saturday, the 24th March,2018.

Jaleel Holdings is always in the forefront to fight the menace of drug abuse

An anti- drug awareness campaign for heavy drivers was organized by Dubai Police anti Narcotics Department and Model Service Society on 17th March 2018 at MSS Hall Al Nahdha 1. Col Abdulla Hassan al Khayat, Director of Awareness and Prevention, General Department of Anti Narcotics, inaugurated the function. More than one hundred heavy drivers from various companies attended the meeting. Dignitaries from Dubai CID department and MSS were also present at the function. Mr. Sameer K Mohamed, Managing Director, Jaleel Holdings received the certificate from Col Abdulla Hassan for the continued support from Jaleel in various anti-narcotics campaigns.

Appreciation Certificate and Trophy from AWQAF & MINORS AFFAIRS FOUNDATION, Government of Dubai

Mr. Baiju Palakasseril(Jaleel CSR), Mr. Ummer Kanthirappully (Jaleel Cash & Carry) and Mr Meeran Kaluveetikuzhiyil (Jaleel Distribution) received Appreciation Certificate and Trophy from Mr. Abdelouaheb Soufane, Director- Salma Relief for the generous contributions and support from Jaleel Holdings. The function was held during the International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference & Exhibition at Sheik Rashid Hall in the Dubai World Trade Center. Presenting the Trophy Mr. Abdelouaheb praised the outstanding efforts of Jaleel Holdings in supporting Salma that made a difference in alleviating sufferings of the less fortunate. Mr. Yasar Abdulsattar Kalthoum, Chief Executive – Salma Relief Programme was also present at the function.

Jaleel to set up store in Dubai Wholesale City

An agreement was signed by Mr. Abdulla Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Wholesale City and , Mr. Sameer K Mohamed, Managing Director of Jaleel Holdings in the presence of senior management teams from both sides. As per the agreement Jaleel Cash and Carry will invest AED 100 million for the construction of a fully integrated state-of-art direct sale warehouse with accommodation facilities for more than 250 employees. Mr. Sameer said that the partnership will help Jaleel Cash and Carry to expand its presence in the region and strengthen its status as a pioneer in food trading.

The ground Breaking Ceremony of the New Corporate office

The ground Breaking Ceremony of the New Corporate office of Jaleel Holdings at Majan was held on 13.02.2018. Our Chairman Mr. M V Kunhumohamed Hajee scooped the traditional shovels of sand marking the start of construction. Managing Director Mr. Sameer K Mohamed, Executive Director Mr. Gafoor K Mohamed, Board member Dr.Zakir K Mohamed, well-wishers and staff attended the function. The building comprises of two basement car parking with commercial spaces located on the ground floor and four floors of Office space with more than 250 seating capacity. The Office has been designed to offer an efficient, comfortable and pleasant working environment with all modern amenities. The construction is expected to be completed by May, 2019.

Jaleel Distribution (84%) has won the ever rolling shield for 'THE BEST PREMISES AWARD 2017'.

M/S Jaleel Foodservice (80%), M/S Jaleel General Warehousing (78%), M/S Jaleel Cash & Carry Mussafah (76%), M/S Jaleel Cash & Carry Ajman (76%) and ,M/S Jaleel Cash & Carry Abushagara (76%) have qualified for 'The Recognition Certificate'.

The 46th UAE National Day was celebrated by Jaleel

The 46th UAE National Day was celebrated by Jaleel in all its pomp and splendor. As our ‘Home away from Home’ all the employees of Jaleel Holdings participated in the day long celebrations with great enthusiasm. All shops, offices and vehicles of Jaleel were decorated with UAE flags and colored paper trimmings.

Jaleel Annual Sports Day

Jaleel Annual Sports Day was held at the Sharjah Paintball Park on 17th Friday 2017. The event was inaugurated at 02pm with kick off by Mr Gafoor K Mohamed, Executive Director. A total of sixteen teams from various divisions competed for the prestigious Jaleel Foot ball League Rolling trophy. Apart from foot ball, competitions were also held for Shuttle badminton and Tug of war. Drawing competitions and penalty shoot outs were also held for the children of Jaleel staff.

Jaleel Distribution won the Rolling Trophy while Shaji B from Orbex won the Shuttle badminton singles event. All the prizes were distributed by Mr. Sameer K Mohamed, Managing Director.

The fifth Annual Blood Donation Campaign

The fifth Annual Blood Donation Campaign was done at the Jaleel Corporate Office on 12th Oct,2017. The event was organized in association with Dubai Blood Donation Center (DBDC), which is a department of Al Wasl Hospital. Almost one hundred staff came forward to be a part of the solemn event and 52 pints of blood could be collected.

UAE Food Bank will boost surplus food donation in Dubai

Around 10 per cent of hotels, restaurants and hypermarket chains in Dubai are already donating their edible excess food and goods to the needy. And this would further increase with the launch of the UAE Food Bank, charities say.
