Medical Camp


June, 2022

Jaleel Distribution organized & volunteered a Medical Camp for Labors at a selected Labor Camp in Sonapur on 3rd June. The camp was attended by 181 labors , volunteered by 10 known doctors from Dubai & 4 Nurses ; led by Dr. Zakir. Participants were diagnosed on their medical conditions, examined and further treatment plan has been advised. Selected identified participants from the medical camp are also being assisted by Jaleel Distribution for follow-up consultation & Tests.

Health Checkup Camp

A medical health camp was conducted at the premises of Jaleel Cash and Carry, Qusaidat, RAK by Thumbay Clinic, Ras Al Khaimah on May 30, 2022 for the walk-in customers and employees. 142 persons underwent screening, conducted by the Doctors and medical staff of Thumbay, which included customers and employees of Jaleel Cash & Carry, Jmart Hypermarket and Jaleel Essential Food Industries.

Thadagam Foundation Academic Scholarships

Established in 1982, Thadagam Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the corporate organization which mainly focuses on education and was earlier called Thadagam Education and Charitable Trust. In a way to extend their gratitude and support to their employees, Jaleel Holdings started the Thadagam Foundation Academic Scholarships in 2018. These are awarded to young and bright children of the employees who excel in academic or extra-curricular activities and wish to pursue higher education but do not have the means to do so. Covering all tuition fees for the entire length of courses like Engineering, BTech, Ayurvedic professional degrees, so far more than 20 scholarships were given by the Chairman.

Al Warsan Covid-19 Isolation Facility


July 2020

During the initial days of Covid-19 pandemic, Jaleel Holdings played an active role in setting up and running a fully-equipped isolation center in Dubai. Dr. Zakir K Mohamed, Director of Jaleel Holdings, was the medical lead of a volunteering team at Dubai Health Authority’s Al Warsan Covid-19 isolation facility in Hind Humanitarian City (HHC). He led a group of 56 volunteer doctors with 120 volunteer nurses and 58 other volunteers, who managed 7500 beds and took more than 18000 swab tests in 78 days. This feat was achievable with the diligent support of Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) and its crisis management team. Eventually DHA decided to completely take over in July 2020 to make HHC a long term facility.

10 million Meals Campaign

Jaleel Holdings donated 100,000 meals to the ’10 million meals’ campaign, UAE’s first biggest food distribution drive that aimed to support communities affected by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the UAE. SALMA – Syrian Refugee Campaign

SALMA, an initiative by H. H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, addressed the cause for Syrian refugees. The aim was to provide food to 70,000 refugees in Jordan who were victims of manmade or natural disasters. As a corporate entity with decades old roots in the UAE, Jaleel Holdings joined hands with its employees and customers to sponsor this noble venture during the “ 2017 Year of Giving” alongside Awqaaf & Minor Affairs Foundation.

Their Suhour Is On Us

As per the UN estimate, an amount of Rs. 31,000 Crore is required to rebuild Kerala. Mr Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala visited UAE & had meetings with several Organizations seeking support. Our Directors Mr. Sameer K Mohamed & Dr. Zakir K Mohamed also met him & contributed an amount of Rs 30 Lakhs to the Flood relief fund.

Year of Giving

During the holy month of Ramadan we in association with The Community Development Authority, Govt. of Dubai distributed 12000 packets of food to the needy in different labor camps in and around Dubai. Our employees with great enthusiasm came forward as volunteers in the distribution of the food packets. Contribution to various charity organizations were also done as usual. By these acts of kindness, we feel proud to be a part of the ‘Year of Giving'.

Kerala Flood Relief Fund


Thadagam Foundation was quick to extend its help to the unfortunate victims of the disastrous floods in Kerala in 2018. The volunteers worked incessantly in providing basic amenities and food to the occupants of 20 relief camps until they were finally able to return home. The Foundation also provided financial aid to 20 families to reconstruct their houses that were damaged by the flood. In addition to this, Directors Sameer K. Mohamed and Dr Zakir K Mohamed met the Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan when he was visiting UAE and donated Rs 30 lakhs contributed from the management and employees of Jaleel Holdings for the Flood Relief Fund.

Thadagam Dialysis Center - Kerala


Thadagam Foundation, in collaboration with Thanal Charitable Trust, laid the foundation stone for a new world-class Dialysis Centre in Vadakkekad to provide Hemodialysis to destitute families at a very low cost. Thadagam Dialysis Center is the first facility in this region dedicated to the poor, which will facilitate a 10-bed facility with world-class infrastructure and machines.

Charity Housing Projects


Thadagam Foundation initiated a three-phase charity housing project at Vadakkekad in Kerala. All the apartments constructed are allotted to the homeless families from adjacent areas. The first phase was a project comprising of 6 houses on a land owned by the trustees and donated to homeless people, and second phase a residential complex of 9 units with an investment of Rs 1 crore. The third phase of the project, comprising of 12 units, is currently under construction at an estimated investment of Rs 1.6 crores. The fourth phase is in the pipeline for completion in 2022 at an estimated investment of Rs 1.8 crores with 12 housing units.
